Two OGWs of HM arrested during CASO in Bandipora | KNO

Srinagar, July 25 (KNO) : The government forces on Thursday arrested two active Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Turuk Nad Tukpora village of Bandipora in north Kashmir. Officials told KNO that both the OGWs were arrested in Apple orchard in Turnadi Turkpora Village of Bandipora district during hours long CASO, which was launched in this morning following the inputs about the presence of militants. Speaking to KNO over phone, a police official confirmed the arrest of both these OGWs, saying that following the specific inputs about the presence of militants in Turuk Nad Turpora area of Bandipora district, CASO was launched by the police alongwith 27 Rashtriya Rifles of Army. He said that during CASO, two OGWs were arrested and arms and ammunitions were also recovered from their possession. The duo was identified as Mohd Saleem Gojar, son of Ab Aziz Gojar of Turuk Nad Turknad and Mohd Ismail of Rajouri. Police said the duo was active OGWs of HM outfit, adding that a case under FIR number 80/2019 under section 7/25 Act has been registered in Police Station Bandipora and investigation is going on.(KNO)
